Ethiopian Broadcasting Corp. and Viory Sign Cooperation Agreement Ethiopia's national broadcaster, the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), has entered into a strategic partnership with Viory, the video agency focused on the Global South. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) today, May 5th, establishing a framework for content sharing, professional development, and joint initiatives. The agreement outlines several key areas of collaboration. EBC and Viory plan to exchange video content, share industry best practices, and develop joint training programmes aimed at enhancing the skills of journalists and media professionals within the region. Furthermore, they intend to co-host events, such as seminars and webinars, designed to spotlight emerging stories and narratives from both Ethiopia and the broader Global South. This MoC is the latest in a series of similar agreements Viory has recently established with media organizations across Africa, the Gulf, Asia, and Latin America, expanding its network focused on content from these regions. Getnet Tadesse, CEO of EBC, described the collaboration as an "important milestone," stating it will "enhance our capacity to share Ethiopia’s stories with the world and exchange experiences with other broadcasters in the Global South." Zulayho Siddikova, General Manager of Viory, added that the partnership "deepens our commitment to amplifying authentic voices from Ethiopia, Africa and beyond," by combining EBC's storytelling heritage with Viory's global network.
